Tactical Strike Group 4 is a veteran founded, veteran owned and veteran operated military-style gaming organizationthat encompasses and combines various functions, organizational structures and practices from multiple military branches. The TSG4 community is defined as “military-style” because it has a rigid support infrastructure patterned after a military unit with awards & decorations, ranks and duty positions. It has a hard-coded and stable Chain of Command with a dedicated corps of leaders, officers, and NCOs at all levels. More than that, we pride ourselves on teamwork, community and communication. We espouse an ethos encompassing unity, respect, brotherhood, and family.
It is very important to understandthat TSG4 is NOT an all-out, "balls-to-the-wall" competition group, and we are definitely not "Stat Whores" who require a certain WTR and win-rate, or pressure our members for "not performing up to expected standards". That type of attitude and mentality just adds un-due stress to a player and eventually takes the fun out of a game as players get tired of continually feeling forced to "keep up the pace" and maintain their stats.... called BURN-OUT! Tactical Strike Group 4 was designed (and is considered to be) as a "Casually-Competitive" organization that still likes to battle and win, but also enjoys more of the relaxed, social aspects of gaming! Besides.... who likes to game and battle while having "losing" as their objective?? That being said, and to be brutally upfront and "in your face" honest.... if you are looking for more of a "seriously hardcore", competition gaming setting, then Tactical Strike Group 4 is not for you and we would certainly appreciate you not wasting our time, only to have you leave after a very short while with us (clan hopping).
Tactictical Strike Group 4 members are expected to adhere atalltimes to our Ethos, as well as the Code of Conduct outlined herein. **The tag “TSG4”is an all-inclusive reference to all sub-divisions of Tactical Strike Group 4 (i.e. TSG4, TSG4B, TSG4C, etc.) and applies to all subordinate units equally.**
We recognize that TSG4 members will come from all walks of life. Different cultures, different societies, different beliefs. This can cause problems because there may be varying definitions of what is acceptable behavior and what is not. Whilst we respect these differences and make provisions for potential conflict due to widely divergent beliefs, the only thing that matters to TSG4 as a whole is *OUR ORGANIZATION* and the code of conduct which governs our organization: the SOP. Most of this can be summed up with one word: Respect.
Tactical Strike Group 4 recognizes and fully understands that we operate in a "gaming environment" and that many players simply want to relax and blow-off steam by engaging in battles and "blowing shit up". However, as withanyorganization in life, whether civilian or military (i.e. civilian club charters, corporate by-laws, employee handbook, military UCMJ, AR 670-1, AR 350-30, USN SORM (Standard Organization and Regulations Manual), etc. and etc...)) there arealwaysrules to follow. Without these rules and standards of action, all organizations would simply devolve into a massed gaggle of individuals with no focused direction, organizational structure or cohesion. It is for this reason that all Recruits and Members are required to completely (and thoroughly) read TSG4's Ethos, Core Values and SOPs and subsequently sign their acknowledgement, understanding and agreement.
The SOP is both a code of conduct and a set of rules. This document is required reading for all members of TSG4 and those wishing to join -- all members are expected to read this document and adhere to its expectations. The articles outlined in this document are common, basic guidelines for decent human behavior and "team" cooperation. All members (including Recruits) are required to post a reply in the SOP forum thread with a simple "/sign <your name>" to indicate that you accept the terms we put forth herein. Your signature will also be considered valid for any and all future revisions of this document, but if you wish to reaffirm and reinforce your acknowledgement, understanding and agreement, then you may /sign <your in-game name> again. The articles outlined in this document are common, basic guidelines for decent human behavior and "team" cooperation. Failure to sign your acknowledgement and acceptance of this document will result in your application/membership being terminated.
TSG4 ETHOS: A Family of Friends….One Team, One Fight!
This mantra, “A Family of Friends… One Team, ONE Fight!” is the ethos of team spirit (esprit de corps) and camaraderie, and is a defining concept of mutual support. This mantra symbolizes that Tactical Strike Group 4 is not a disparate assembly of members who merely play one or two games and have no care or concern for an over-all group or individuals other than themself. Regardless of what game you are here to play, you are now part of our community…. Our “Family of Friends”, and through all obstacles and difficult situations, we stick together…. ‘ONE Team, ONE Fight!”.
Our community is not a collective of gamers, but rather it is a community family created by developing strong in-game friends. You are not just here for WoWs, WOT, PS2, SWTOR, MWO or Hello Kitty Online, you are here for Gaming Excellence… and you are here to be part of a community that transcends the average gaming "guild" mentality. Because we are a brotherhood and family, we do not turn our back on our brothers. Regardless of what game division within TSG4 that you belong to, you are a TSG4 member first and fore-most. You are not a TSG4 member of World of Warships (for example), you are a TSG4 member….PERIOD.
TSG4 CORE VALUES: LDRSHIP
The TSG4 Core Values are included in the SOP because all TSG4 members are expected to read and “/sign” the SOP. The TSG4 Core Values are the core foundations of what we expect our members to exemplify and we believe that all of our members should try to live up to them. These are the guiding principles upon which we model our behavior, and thus they are the guiding principle behind the TSG4 SOP. Our Core Values are the bedrock upon which policy should be based…. and our Core Values are not up for discussion or modification. All of TSG4's policies, procedures, and SOP amendments should be written with the Core Values in mind. These are not exactly rules, but rather they represent the characteristics that embody TSG4 members -- they are what being a member of Tactical Strike Group 4 is all about. The core TSG4 Values can be summed up with the acronym LDRSHIP, and they are further defined as:
--Loyalty -- loyalty to Tactical Strike Group 4 and the factions for which we fight (we are not turncoats, we back each other up, we are brothers and sisters…. FAMILY!).
--Dependability (Duty) -- when a TSG4 member says "I'll be there", his battle brothers can bank on him being there. TSG4 members should always strive to perform their "expected" duty! Any member of TSG4 can rely upon fellow members to embody the “One Team, One Fight” mantra. We never fight alone.
--Respect -- treat all TSG4 members as you would treat any other beloved member of your family. Treat people as they should be treated. Remember the Golden Rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
--Selfless Service -- the standard set by Tactical Strike Group 4's Commanding Officer is to put the welfare of the unit and your battle brothers before your own…. whether they are your peers, subordinates, or upline leaders.
--Honor -- live up to, and embody, all TSG4 Core Values. Honor is honesty, fairness, or integrity in one's beliefs and actions. It means you are a source of credit and distinction.
--Integrity -- do what's right, ethically and morally… the first time, every time! If you truly believe in your heart that what you are doing is honest and correct, then the worst you can ever be is wrong.
--Personal Courage -- face fear, danger or adversity… whether it be physical or moral.
The Tactical Strike Group 4 has been in operation since the 22ndDay of April, 2017. Our members are regarded as disciplined, well trained and professional. As such, we expect all of our members to act the part.
TSG4 Bearing is the practice of discipline, ethics, attitude, appearance and conduct by a TSG4 member. It is how you portray yourself, and in so doing, portray Tactical Strike Group 4. It means that we behave with a certain decorum and discipline, and that we adhere to the utmost levels of the Core Values and professionalism when in the presence of non-TSG4 members (or when presented with a difficult situation).
Regardless of your age, rank, billeted position or time in TSG4 you are to uphold the Core Values at all times, TSG4 prides itself and its members on these principles.
You only get one chance to make a first impression… always make the right one the first time! Remember that whenever you log onto Discord or the forums, you never know what guests are on Discord or who is logged on to the forums.
TSG4 Organization and Structure:
The TSG4 structure is composed of various command and staff elements. The command elements include the Battalion Commander at the Senior Command level, the Company Commanders and the Platoon Leaders at the Junior Command level. The Staff elements include the Battalion XO, G1, G3 and G6 officers at the Senior Staff level and the Company XO and Squad Leaders at the Junior Staff level.
The TSG4 Organization is based loosly on the U.S. Army battalion. It is broken-down into the Headquarters section for all Senior Command and Senior Staff positions and departments, followed by the individual companies that each include their respective platoons.
The organizational flowchart can be viewed on the TSG4 OpServ under the "Command Structure" tab on the top menu bar of the main page.
TSG4 SOP Section 1 - Recruit and Member Expectations
Subsection A – Member Requirements and General Provisions
Clause 1. Membership Requirements
A. TSG4 members must be 18+, in attitude as well as age... Mature, low-drama members are required and are expected to treat one another with Respect, Honor and Dignity.
B. Every member of TSG4 should strive to conduct themselves in a mature manner that is both age appropriate... and attitude appropriate.
C. Each member will be active weekly... however, we have left the definition of "weekly" up to the individual member. 1 battle per week... or 500,000 battles per week... it all just depends on howyouwant to define weekly! (we understand that real-life comes before any video game and people's schedules are always different!) If you know that you will be away from your computer and out of the game for an extended period of time, just make sure that you post a thread in the "LEAVE" section on the OpServ Forums. **NOTE** - After 30 days without ANY communication, member could (and will) be subject to dismissal from TSG4.
D. ANY time that you are in-game, you are requiredto be on Discordand in a TSG4 Channel Room. This policy applies to both full members and recruits. (For more details, refer to section 2, subsection C, paragraph 2 below.)
E. No member will act in such a manner as to bring embarrassment or discredit to Tactical Strike Group 4. Such a violation may invoke administrative action by the Leadership, which may include termination of TSG4 membership. Be an ambassador of TSG4 and represent your clan and your Family of Friends well....at ALL times!
F. Members' in-game profiles are to be set to "public" and remain as "public" at all times. TSG4 is a very open and welcoming organization and members should have nothing to hide.
Clause 2. Discrimination and Personal Representation
A. Represent yourself and your clan well. When you are wearing the [TSG4] tag youarean Ambassador for Tactical Strike Group 4, and appropriate behavior is demanded (and expected), while inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Everything you do is a reflection of TSG4 as a whole; if you tarnish that image you will no longer be welcome here. We have ZERO TOLERANCE for any form of Racism, Sexism, Bigotry and Bullying, and the same goes for Discrimination of *any* type, which includes (but not limited to):
Sexual Gender / Gender Identity
Subsection B - Recruit Expectations
Clause 1: TACTICAL STRIKE GROUP 4 IS NOT AN "AUTO-APPROVE" ORGANIZATION. Applicants are required to actively work their way through TSG4's Recruiting Process and EARN their membership. As such, it is possible (as well as probable) that numerous prospective members will FAIL the Recruiting Process due to such things as inactivity, lack of engagement with full members, poor attitude, or just simply a lack of personal constitution towards being actively evaluated and having to complete a Recruiting Process. It's important to understand that as an organization, we are actively trying to build a group or "Family" of friends and we simply do not want players who will be nothing more than "warm bodies" on the roster. We also do not want members who are going to be "part time" or even worse... "temporary"! This means that we are not interested in "part-time" players who are active for a while and then take extremely long/extended breaks. It is impossible to maintain and cultivate friendships when you're not around! We also strongly frown upon members who want to join simply for a particular in-game activity (such as Clan Wars) and then leave when the event is over. Those types of players are "temporary" and can not be counted-on for long-term support and have no sense of commitment. With this understanding, we routinely perform Deadweight Cuts in an effort to eliminate "ghost members", otherwise known as "paper soldiers", from our rosters. Given that our motto and mission is to form "A Family of Friends: One Team, One Fight!", we simply do not tolerate or abide inactivity with no form of previous communication.
Clause 2. All Recruits will be required to sign up for (and use) the TSG4 website, known as the Operations Server (OPSERV). Remember: Be an Active recruit! Let the members see your enthusiasm and participation!
A.You are required to add your signature code located in your personnel jacket on OPSERV to your forum profile in the signature box. (currently unavailable).
Clause 3. Allprospectivemembers enter the TSG4 Recruiting Process and start at the rank of E-1, Seaman Recruit - regardless of past standing with other organizations.
A. It is important to note that carrying clan tags from another clan is not permitted once a Recruit and Prospective Member has officially entered into the TSG4 Recruiting Process. After your application has been reviewed, you will have your initial interview on Discord with a recruiter. During the Initial Interview, you will be assigned your personal "Recruiter Mentor", as well as be given your rank (Discord role) of "E-1, Seaman Recruit" and be assigned a "Red R" to designate you as a "Recruit" to all of the TSG4 members. You are to update your profile avatars with this "Red R" on both your Discord Profile *and* your TSG4 OpServ (Website) Profile.
B. When you are nearing the end of your Recruiting Process, you will be elevated in status and given a "Green R" (the color green is for "good to go") to designate you as a " Indoc Recruit" to all of the TSG4 members. At this time, you will also be informed of your pending Billet Assignment as a full member of TSG4 and be given a "Indoc Checklist". This Checklist is the final step of the Recruiting Process and must be completed prior to being extended an offer for Full Membership.
C. After successful completion of the Recruiting Process, an offer of Full Membership will be extended to you. Should you accept the offer, you will be considered as having “earned your stripes” and you will be promoted and enter TSG4 with the rank of E-2, Seaman Apprentice.
D. Military members (Veteran and Active Duty) – In recognition and utmost appreciation for your service to your country, your new membership in Tactical Strike Group 4 will forego the customary entry rank of E-2, Seaman Apprentice and you will receive an immediate promotion to the rank of E-3, Seaman.
E. As a member, you are assigned a primary chain of command and should follow that chain starting with your first point of contact, which is your Squad Leader. You will be notified with your billet assignment via direct personal message, and your assignment can be viewed on the Command Structure chart located on the OpServ by clicking the "Command Structure" button on the top menu bar.
Clause 4. Upon applying to TSG4, you will undergo anactiveobservational Recruiting Process to see if you are a good fit for TSG4 and if TSG4 is a good fit for you. Remember: the Recruiting Process is a two-way test, and it was designed as such (weed out the problems before they can begin)! The test actually begins with the application itself, and is continuous throughout the entire Recruiting Process! However, the majority of the "burden" is on the Recruit (Prospective Member) since current members have already passed "the test". If a recruit displays "drama" during the Recruiting Process", then what type(s) of problems can be expected if they are granted full membership? Recruits should always be trying to keep their best foot forward and present themself in the most appealing and most favorable appearance as possible!
A. Carrying clan tags from another clan is not permitted once a Recruit and Prospective Member has officially entered into the TSG4 Recruiting Process.
B. The expected time for you to complete your Onboarding through the Recruiting Process is totally dependent on you, the recruit… and is explained in detail on the OpServ at http://www.tsg4.org/recruitingprocess. It will generally take approximately 14 days to complete, but could go a little longer.... (or shorter).... It all just depends on your level of activity, engagement and positive attitude.
C. Since members of TSG4 are guaging the recruit's interest in becoming a "dedicated member" of our organization and Family of Friends, maintaining membership with another organization is strongly looked down upon and casts a shadow of doubt over the recriut's sincerity in joining TSG4 and ultimately his committment and level of dedication. To that end, recruits will be required to drop tags with all previous clans/organizations. The above opening paragraph of this clause should be kept in mind... re-read it if necessary.
D. Upon completion of the above requirements and the criteria as set forth on the OpServ's Recruiting Process page, you will be evaluated for full membership and, if granted and accepted, be given a promotion to the rank of E-2 Seaman (see clause 2 above).
E. The available options for any Recruit who receives a strike or other disciplinary measure will either: have their Recruit Process restarted at “Day 1”, have their Recruit Process extended from their current progress or have their application immediately rejected and their Recruiting Process terminated (see below).
Possible disciplinary actions: Violations of the Recruit Expectations policy will result in a warning or immediate termination of the membership trial phase depending on the severity of the violation. Any Recruit who violates a portion of the TSG4 SOP during their trial phase will be either removed from the process completely and immediately, or have their Recruiting Process extended until such a time as the leadership and the current members feel comfortable enough that they have compliedandmerit receiving an invitation for full membership.
Subsection C - Member Expectations
Clause 1. Members are expected to div-up with and evaluate our Recruits, then post your Thoughts, Observations and Opinions about that recruit into their OpServ forum thread.
REASON: The information that members provide in their evaluation, as well as the number of reviews that a recruit receives are the factors that determine if a recruit passes or fails the Recruiting Process... not the senior leadership. So each member must do their part and do their job! (as is also detailed in the Members' Guide)
Clause 2. Members areencouraged(but not required) to attend all training, meetings, and operations that are available to them.
A. TSG4 Members are required to maintain “weekly” activity with the clan (Discord and in-game). Due to clan member slot limitations, the TSG4 roster is routinely monitored for players who are inactive and are not contributing to TSG4 or trying to maintain/cultiivate the "Family of Friends" environment so that those “deadweight” and “paper soldiers” can be culled from the member list.
Clause 3. If you join Tactical Strike Group 4, you play with TSG4…. you did not join TSG4 to be “part-time”.
A. If you actively play on the same server as any TSG4 Company, you will be required to play with us, with no alternates in other outfits or other factions on that same server.
B. This policy applies to World of Warships (WOWS) as well as World of Tanks (WOT).
Clause 4. All TSG4 members are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times, regardless of rank. You will be respectful of all members… and you will be afforded that same respect.
Clause 5. If and When TSG4 conducts real-world (IRL) gatherings and get-togethers (usually at public events or in public places), we will expect our members to conduct themselves as they would at any other point during TSG4 gaming.
A. When we are guests at a public facility or installation, we will adhere to that facility's rules and regulations. Certain facilities or certain activities may have age/alcohol restrictions. We honor, respect, and enforce those policies.
Clause 6. TSG4 is primarily a group of adults. We may conduct activities such as Intoxi-Operations that involve the consumption of Alcohol. TSG4 does not condone the underage consumption of Alcoholic or illegal substances as defined by your place of legal residence.
A. All Intoxi-OP attendees are required to accept the terms and conditions available via the operation on OPSERV when available. Any member in attendance who has not accepted the policy may be subject to disciplinary action and exclusion from the event.
Clause 7. TSG4 members are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism and respect at all times while in-game.
A. Members do not Team Kill at all, at any time. The ONLY exception to the rule is when authorized by TSG4 Battalion or Company Command (for example: platoon competition, skirmish contest or opposing forces during a battle in “Random Mode”, etc.).
B. The platoon lead, division leader, team lead or op leader is the ultimate authority in-game and what they say goes, unless it violates one of the SOPs outlined herein.
C. If you have a suggestion for the unit or Op leader, send it via private message on Discord or in-game if applicable.
Clause 8. Friendly competition is healthy, fun and a good thing… but please curtail your "game rage" when things don't go as planned! No member of TSG4 is to make fun of, put down or verbally attack a public player. We were all new players at one point, so DO NOT verbally abuse a public player in game chat…. it is called “game rage” and it demonstrates an extreme lack of emotional maturity and self-discipline! Bottom line: it's a game… get over yourself and your ego! Go hit the BATTLE button and start again! So, you got killed… eh, it happens! So, the public player left you hanging… eh, get over it and move on! That is the reason they are not a Strike Group 4 member…. and If you are not able to restrain yourself from verbally bashing public playersyouwon’t be a TSG4 member either.
Clause 9. If a TSG4 member or a member of any other clan verbally attacks you in chat, the forums, via private message or during an in-game battle, you should immediately report the matter to direct supervisor in the Chain of Command. Be sure to include all pertinent information such as player’s name, clan tag, where the verbal attack occurred, etc. DO NOT take the matter into your own hands…. It will make you look as lowly and immature as they are and will reflect poorly on Tactical Strike Group 4.
Clause 10. Conflict of Interest: TSG4 may have a presence in multiple games. The organization does not wish to create or be confronted with any conflicts of interest, and as a precaution, all TSG4 members will be required to join the TSG4 presence within other games (if one is available). This is one of the reasons why all applicants are asked to acknowledge their agreement to this requirement on the clan application that was filled-out when first applying to TSG4. Yeah, yeah.... I also happen to have spent MANY HUNDREDS of dollars and tons of TIME with other clans in other games (particularly Ultima Online and WoT), But I was able to step away from that as "old history/activity" and move forward with a new organization.... just like so many others have done.
Clause 11. If you use the TSG4 brand, name, mark, or logo, we reserve the right to use the material in whatever fashion we see fit. Proper credit will be provided where possible. Please contact the G-6 Comms and Social Admin Section prior to creation of any logo, design, or physical representations of the TSG4 brand. They will have high-resolution renders of 2D and 3D logos for this purpose, and may be able to help with your creation.
Possible disciplinary actions: Violations of the Member Expectations Policy will result in a warning and will be followed by a strike for continued violations. Documentation of all actions taken will be placed in your dossier/personnel jacket on the OpServ. Any violation of Clauses 4 or 5 will result in immediate levying of a strike and possible dismissal from the Organization depending on the severity of the violation.
Subsection D - Hacking and Exploiting
Clause 1. TSG4 believes in fair play within the bounds of game mechanics. We differentiate between "fair play" and "honorable conduct".
A. Hacking, cracking, scripting, botting, and usage of unauthorized (e.g. not approved or sanctioned by the game designer, developer or producer) third-party programs that present an unfair advantage are considered dishonorable and against TSG4 standards.
B. Those who unintentionally run across bugs/exploits should do their very best to avoid situations where such bugs/exploits will give them advantage. Strikes may be issued for players who continue to exploit bugs after they have been told of fixes for said bugs. This does not include gameplay mechanics which, during the course of gameplay, are available to all. We define an exploit as anything which provides a player with an unfair advantage over other players.
Clause 2. Tactical Strike Group 4 does not encourage, condone or participate in the unsanctioned or unauthorized buying, trading and selling of the intellectual property of any game designer, developer or producer (IP holder), and in fact specifically prohibits it.
A. Unsanctioned and unauthorized refers specifically to any and all methods not given specific approval to by the IP holder, or the use of any transaction vehicles outside of the direct financial control of the IP holder, such as game currency or item sites operated by 3rd parties.
Clause 3. The spirit and the intent of the SOP are just as important as the letter of the SOP. If a gaming company says "hacking our game is okay", that is developer-sanctioned.
A. TSG4 reserves the right to moderate its community to maintain a sterling reputation and it will always reserve the right to disallow all modifications/cracks whether a game developer allows it or not.
Clause 4. Membership in TSG4 comes with the understood expectation of being honest, forthright, and above-board in your personal and professional engagement with the organization.
A. This is a broader net than most, encompassing issues that can range from being honest about award criteria to maintaining a truthful posture in your communications with your fellow TSG4 members.
Possible disciplinary actions: Violations of the Hacking and Exploiting policy can vary in regards to discipline. Violations of Clause 1 will result in an immediate review of your actions. If you are found to have knowingly and maliciously hacked, cracked, or made use of an exploit to gain an unfair advantage, you will be levied a strike. Violations of Clauses 2, 3, or 4 may result in the issue of a warning or a strike based on severity.
TSG4 SOP Section 2 - Communication
Subsection A - Announcements and Notices
Clause 1 - Online Calendar
a. All officially sanctioned events for Tactical Strike Group 4 will be posted with all pertinent details on the OpServ Calendar. Information contained for each event will include : Person hosting, Name of event, Date and time, a brief summary, rally point (if applicable), etc.
b. Event announcements made in-game or on Discord alone will not be acknowledged as official TSG4 events and thus will be ineligible for consideration towards attendance, participation, training or any other awards.
c. Discord is acceptable and should be used for event reminders, but again, not for the event announcement itself.
Subsection B - Forums and Chat
Clause 1. All members will maintain activity on the OpServ forums at least once in a 30 day period. **NOTE** - After 30 days without ANY communication, member could (and will) be subject to dismissal from TSG4.
Clause 2. At all times you are to show respect to your fellow members.

Clause 5. All forum signatures will be limited to two banner lines, the first of which shall always be the TSG4-mandated “Fruit Salad” (TSG4 logo URL) available through the OPSERV system with no other images in this line. The “Fruit Salad” banner must also appear above any text in your signature. The second banner can be of your choosing and may reflect your personality, game of choice, favorite thing in life, etc… so long as it does not violate Section 1 of this policy. The second line is also the only area authorized for supplemental badge/unit tags, not to exceed two tags. The maximum size for any signature banner is 640 pixels wide by 160 pixels high (640 x 160).
A. Avatars – For the purposes of Identification during communication, ALL profile avatars (Discord and OpServ) will be of the TSG4 member’s current rank. If a member becomes a Knight of the Legion of Honor, then that member will have the option of displaying the Breast Star as their profile avatar in lieu of their military rank.
B. All forum signatures must be content appropriate for an “all ages” environment (i.e. must not contain nudity, excessive profanity, nor other material deemed inappropriate according to the standards of TSG4 as outlined within the SOP).
Possible disciplinary actions: Violations of the Activity policy in Clause 1 will result in removal from TSG4 after a warning has been PM'd/e-mailed to you. All other violations of these SOPs will be subject to a warning or immediate levying of a strike depending on severity. Documentation will be placed in your dossier/personnel jacket.
Subsection C - Discord
Clause 1. Members must have a functional microphone, but do not need to use it unless they are in a leadership role or otherwise specified by the game-specific SOP.
Clause 2. ANY time that you are in-game, you arerequiredto be on Discordand in a TSG4 Channel Room. This requirement applies equally to both full members and Recruits. Discord is for the benefit of maintaining our organizational cohesion, camaraderie and of course for TACTICAL communications; none of which can be maintained or utilized unless you are in Discord and in a TSG4 Channel Room. Remember, communication is critical to building a cohesive team and to completing missions in a successful manner.A few mitigating circumstances do exist... however, as a member, you MUST communicate with us when we contact you regarding this violation! Failure to communicate will be interpreted as intentional beligerence and the "Warning & Penalty" system will be used as per Section 3 below.
Clause 3. Discord isourenvironment to maintain and represent TSG4 on an “individual” basis. It is understood that we all need to vent sometimes and that's okay. Our only request is that you are able to retain (or return to) some level of decorum after your tirade… or move yourself to another channel while you calm down and collect yourself.
Clause 4. At all times you are to remain respectful and observe proper etiquette when using our Discord or representing TSG4 on another server.
A. Use of sound boards on Discord is prohibited, as is the unwanted spamming of music.
B. When joining a channel, wait up to 30 seconds to be acknowledged before speaking (you may be entering an active battle chat). C&S may make exceptions for extenuating circumstances.
Clause 5. Other Games channels (when available) are a place to play the games TSG4 does not support. You must make a note in your name or description of what game you are playing.

C. Random guests visiting our Discord server who have not been assigned a role will be welcome to use our comms while divisioning with TSG4 members for a MAXIMUM of three (3) days. The use of our comms server while engaged with organizations other than TSG4 is not allowed and is strictly prohibited. REASON: Our Discord server exist as a membership perk and as a benefit for our members. It is not intended to be used or taken advantage of by the entire online gaming community and players we do not know.
Clause 7. The Ambassador role/rank is reserved for industry contacts and allied organizations who require access to Discord. This group can only be assigned by a member of Senior C&S and those within the group should be treated as you would treat any TSG4 member. They do not require a sponsor to be on Discord and can come and go as they please.
A. Any observed SOP violations of users within this group should be handled on the spot, including up to a removal of permissions if warranted. Documentation should be sent immediately to your Platoon Leader or Staff Cadre members.
Clause 8. While the atmosphere appears leisurely in Discord, no member is to provoke or encourage an argument, insult or start a discussion of an offensive subject. We are all adults, let’s conduct ourselves accordingly. (Refer to section 1, subsection A, clause 2).
Clause 9. If a disagreement begins in Discord, take it to a private channel. If it cannot be solved like mature adults, let a member of the clan’s Leadership know and we can help mediate (if needed). Above all else, DO NOT argue or have a confrontation in a PUBLIC channel while public players or prospective recruits are present. That makes TSG4 look bad and will not be tolerated.
Possible disciplinary actions: Violations of this SOP section come with an official warning, to be placed in the violator’s dossier. Severe violations (and repeated violations) will result in the application of a strike to your jacket or immediate loss of TSG4 membership (depending on the severity and the number of your infractions).
TSG4 SOP Section 3 - Disciplinary Action and Procedure
JAG Corps Disciplinary Committee mission statement: To quickly investigate accusations of bad behavior and enforce the TSG4 SOPs, Ethos and Code of Conduct so that all members may enjoy a hostile free gaming environment.
1, Using all means at our disposal (i.e. Warning Strike system, complaints to officers, questioning membership departure) to help identify the source of bad behavior that is in violation of TSG4’s code of conduct.
2, Investigate all parties involved and assemble all information available from any incident in an effort to help make an informed decision on recommended disciplinary actions.
3, Upon the conclusion of an investigation, make the findings available to the Commanding Officer along with all recommended options for disciplinary actions (if any).
Subsection A - Discipline
Clause 1. Tactical Strike Group 4 operates on a three-strike rule for SOP violations. There is a defined process for investigating and issuing a Strike, and this is done at the Battalion level.
A. All strikes are documented in the member's website Personnel Jacket. Each member of TSG4 is afforded the opportunity to appeal any Strike and appeals should be submitted within two (2) days from the date that the warning strike was issued.
B. Submitting an appeal is not required. *IF* you wish to appeal a ban or a warning strike, you have 2 days to submit a written appeal. NOTE: Appealing a strike is optional and is at the decision/discretion of the member.
C. If you CHOOSE to submit an appeal, write up your response and detail why you feel your actions did not in fact break the TSG4 SOP or why you believe they warranted breaking the SOP. Appeals should be sent directly to the TSG4 Commander and XO/Deputy Commander, as well as the G-1 Officer, your Company Commander and your Platoon Leader (copy/paste). Failure to follow this procedure will result in your appeal being immediately denied.
Clause 2. After a Strike is issued, it remains active on a member's personnel jacket for 6 months.
A. All Strikes decay in 6 months and remain recorded, but no longer active.
B. Any instance of a member having 3 active Strikes on the books for six (6) months and dated after 2017AUG25 will result in losing the “Full Membership” status and receiving a 3 month separation (BAN) from TSG4. **This is an Enjin Autoimated Action on the OpServ and will be immediate upon receipt of the third (3rd) warning strike.**
C. After 3 months, members banned by the 3-strike rule may re-apply to TSG4 and a board of Senior Officers will review the application request and either approve or deny it. If approved, the process will be started over with the Recruiting Process as if applying to TSG4 for the first time.
D. If a member voluntarily leaves TSG4, it is either directly understood or implied that he or she is no longer interested in Tactical Strike Group 4 as an organization and no longer wishes to have any affiliation with TSG4. Only those members who resign under "favorable and pleasant" conditions then later choose to re-join will be granted a one-time-only "second chance". For purposes of negating "clan-hopping" and "revolving door" activities, If they choose to resign again after their second chance, they will no longer be eligible to re-join. It is important to note that resigning without offering an excuse or a reason will be interpreted as a "rude and inconsiderate action" and will subsequently be treated as resigning in an unfavorable condition. There are a very few mitigating circumstances that would be acceptable for a return to membership, however, they are very limited in scope. Generally, being granted an exception is extremely rare and most likely will not occur.
1. A member may option to the Reserve Company [TSG4R] if they plan to be inactive for an extended period of time providing that, during thier inactive time, they are not participating with another clan and their standing with TSG4 remains in a favorable and pleasant status.
E. If a member is charged with an infraction and/or SOP violation that is so severe in it's scope and intensity that it invokes an immediate "Insta-Ban", that person will forever be ineligible to return to Tactical Strike Group 4.
